Meet the Band

Jeff Griffith

as Eric Clapton

Jeff Griffith has been composing and performing since the age of five. Performing in coffee houses in upstate New York in the early 70’s, developed his passion for music. The environment offered a free-spirited atmosphere and the encouragement needed to compliment his classical training. His journey with music led to the completion of his first symphony by the age of 9, appointment to Choir and Folk Group Director at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Pawtucket, Rhode Island at the age of 11 and producing a television spot for the Ronald Reagan 1980 election campaign.

After attending classes at Juilliard, New England Conservatory and completing his degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell studying composition, guitar and voice with the likes of Nector Lennox, Anton Holevas, Jon Wheatley, Everett Longstreth, Nat Paella, Dr. Gerry Lloyd and Paul Gay; Jeff decided to venture into the theater and music production world to develop more skills in order to help promote his music. Serving as Technical Director at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, Project Manager for High Output, Inc. and the industry’s leading rigging manufacturer JR Clancy, Inc., no aspect of production was untouched.

A proud member and former president of IATSE Local 195IATSE Local 481 Grip Department and an active member of AFM Local 9-535 and the Recording Academy, Jeff with his company, Griflyn Productions, LLC, can be found performing, producing, teaching and consulting in every aspect of the entertainment industry.

John Baptista

as George Harrison

A seasoned multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, John has performed nationally with a variety of musical acts spanning a myriad of genres. From jazz clubs to large theaters and everything in between John maintains an intimacy and presence is his performances regardless of venue. A lifelong meditator, John prioritizes intention and musicality in his playing and as a music educator of over 20 years, passes these qualities on to his students.

Current and past projects have allowed John’s focus on the healing power of music and the human voice to shine; from collaborations with the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office and the P.A.C.T. Unit for “Guitars Behind Bars” to directing the Rock Voices ‘rock choir’ and a stint as Music Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Club of America, John draws on an expansive range of settings to provide a unique musical experience.

Cutting his teeth in the clubs of Boston, playing in countless bands and as a founding member/Musical Director of the post-collegiate a cappella group Fermata Town, John learned and absorbed while completing courses in Composition at Berklee College of Music. The bandstand then provided years of experience allowing John to now confidently lead Nothing But The Rain, a 12 piece Wedding/General Business band and the JBq, a small combo jazz quartet. John also plays bass with Another Tequila Sunrise – A Tribute to The Eagles, and sings and performs with the unrivaled Family Tree.  Past projects have ranged from a harmony-rich touring folk quartet to a funk/fusion horn band.

Outside of music John is a husband, father of two and enjoys playing Go, gardening, rock climbing and is a lifelong ‘Trekkie’.

“Sometimes you have to play a long time to be able to play like yourself.”

Bryan Picher

Lead Guitar

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Bryan’s love for music began at an early age.

He picked up learning the guitar at the age of seven, and from then on, he began his musical journey…

Bryan’s musical path began as a volunteer musician for local churches.  His talents on guitar and voice became a way to use his God given gifts to have an impact on a local community level.  Soon, his talents became recognized, and he became an in-demand musician for local churches, leading music for many different congregations, community events and conferences in New England.

Since then, Bryan has also performed with various bands and music projects that span many different genres.

Honing his skills as a lead guitarist, Bryan developed his range of musical ability to adapt and play in any band situation.  Using his range of abilities to play whatever the musical situation called for.

Bryan’s talents on the guitar are drawn from a broad range of musical styles and skills he has gained from playing with a myriad of musicians over the years, as well as formal training he received as a Music Major at Bridgewater State University.

Classical, Flamenco, Rock, Blues, and Funk are just a few of the styles that Bryan has played with Musicians and bands he has performed with.

In Something Wonderful Tonight, Bryan delivers the same intensity and feel of Eric Clapton’s iconic guitar parts, while capturing the spirit of George Harrison’s nuanced, and underrated slide guitar playing.

Bryan’s other current musical projects include 4 Of Clubs, a band that performs and covers a wide range of musical styles,  Family Tree, and the Eagles Tribute band, Another Tequila Sunrise.

When not performing music, Bryan enjoys long hikes outdoors, camping, working out, as well as reading good suspense/thriller books.

Shawn Scott

Bass Guitar

as (Paul McCartney, Jack Bruce, Carl Radle, Klaus Voorman, Nathan East)

Shawn has been performing for 35 years covering any and every genre of music from the past 100 years on multiple instruments.  Most of his performing has been in the private sector.  He has spent the last dozen years combining his craft and connection to great musicians for the benefits of others.  His band, Family Tree, known for its impromptu performances, has raised thousands of dollars for many different charities in the Attleboro/Rehoboth area.

This project has been a long time in the making for Shawn.  His 1st concert was Eric Clapton in 1988 and that was when this journey began.  The love of the music of these 2 legends, along with the musicality of their bands, are the reasons he is returning to performing in the public arena.

When he is not on stage, Shawn is promoting the art of live performance.  In an environment where technology is replacing working musicians, he is always creating events that can sustain the costs of larger bands so audiences can enjoy the beauty of the big band sound.  He is also a proud member of AFM local 216.

Steve Brodowski

Drums

Originally from New York City, Steve began his music journey with a pair of sticks at age 9. Moving to Massachusetts in 1979, he exploded onto the Boston music scene with original bands all throughout the 80s and 90s.

Experiences playing with Matt Guitar Murphy, Danny Kline (J Geils Band), Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, Mitch Fortier playing Progressive Rock, R&B, Blues and everything in between, Steve established himself as a solid and reliable professional within the New England market as a drummer and band leader.

Steve has played with Another Tequila Sunrise – A Tribute to the Eagles since 2009 and has continually raised the barre of each performer with his meticulous attention to detail and nuance of the music. As a senior partner of ATS Steve’s guidance, knowledge within the industry and musical capabilities have proven to be the backbone of the band.

Known for his directness and not one to sugar coat the truth.

Steve’s design skills are second to none for his custom spider drum platforms. Audiences walk away mesmerized by his playing but also by the spectacle of his presence on stage.

Denis Brunelle

Keys / Guitar

Born and raised in Lowell, MA, Denis has been performing live since the 1990s on piano and guitar. He’s played a wide variety of genres, including classical, jazz, rock, blues, funk, and heavy metal. He keeps a busy teaching schedule, and spends his free time trying to learn the cello.

Sarah Martin

Keys / Vocals

Being forever surrounded by musicians and music, it is no surprise that by age 2 Sarah was already singing her heart out. At age 8, when she started private voice lessons (her first formal music training), she very confidently told any adult that would listen that she was going to attend Berklee College of Music and play music for the rest of her life. Starting formal piano lessons at age 12 cemented what she already knew: she was going to try to learn every instrument she could get her hands on.

After graduating from Berklee College of Music in late 2022, Sarah began to branch out and find her sound as a musician in a variety of projects. On stage you can find Sarah singing with big bands, playing alto saxophone in parades, playing the guitar and singing in assisted care facilities, and playing keyboard and singing in Family Tree. In FAME the Ultimate Female Anthology Music Experience, Sarah can be found singing and dancing her way through decades of songs sung by some of the most memorable and famous female vocalists of all time. Sarah is so grateful and excited to be a part of Something Wonderful Tonight, playing keyboard and singing alongside so many amazing musicians.

Off the stage, Sarah can be found reading, spending time with her family and friends, and thinking about what song or musical instrument she wants to learn next.

Doug Kelly

Percussion / Vocals

For the past 30 years Doug Kelly has been a staple in the Boston and Rhode Island music scene. Touring with many rock and high energy show bands throughout the northeast, Doug has found his way onto many different stages.

As the lead singer and percussionist for the highly acclaimed corporate wedding and show band TOPAZ,he has also performed for many broadway shows. He is also just one of multiple performers/vocalists in the Family Tree Band.

Doug is also a Massachusetts high school band director and has owned his own music store and music school serving over 500 students a week and giving them gift of music as well.

“This project is exciting and will find its way into so many hearts. Sit back and enjoy these wonderful musicians I have the opportunity to perform with!”

With much love,

Enduge Kalle
